Maker Lab

Discover new skills and tech each week! Teens can work on exciting projects such as 3D printing, materials cutting, coding and more. 

Crochet Corner

Teens can learn the basics of crochet or share their skills while hanging out with other teen crocheters. Supplies are provided. Program occurs on select Saturdays, please check event calendar.

Life Skills: Crash Course 

Join teen library staff and College Connect to learn about life skills we encounter outside of school. Program occurs on select Saturdays, please check our event calendar. No registration required.

Gaming

Jump into action and show off your gaming skills! Join us for exciting gameplay and friendly competition. Bring a friend, pick a console, play a game, and show off your gaming skills. 

Teen Art Gallery

Unleash your creativity and experiment with new artistic techniques and craft materials as you design your own unique art piece. Once your masterpiece is complete, showcase it on our Teen Art Gallery wall and let your work inspire others. 

Teen Center

A special spot in the library dedicated to serving our teen population. The center offers a quiet study room,a space to hang out, and several computers reserved for teen use only. 

Teen STEAM Kits

Teens can use one of our special STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics) kits and use the items within to challenge their mind and develop new skills. Kit include Perler beading, button making, Shrinky Dinks, and many more. 

Teen Volunteering

Acquire Summer volunteer service hours for school while developing professional skills to prepare you for college and career. Lead fun and meaningful activities with children, teens, and library staff. If you are interested, please e-mail Victoria Aguilar at Victoria_Aguilar@tempe.gov. 

Books

Young Adult Collection 

Tempe Public Library offers a robust Young Adult (YA) collection for check out. New YA, special displays, and YA Non-Fiction are located inside and in front of our Teen Center. YA Fiction, Manga, Graphic Novels, and Anime are located on the main floor. 

MAX

MAX is a countywide book sharing service between the public libraries in Maricopa County Books requested through MAX are checked out and returned at the Tempe Public Library.
