Tempe Seed Library is stocked with edible plant and herb seeds appropriate for Arizona growing conditions and seasons. Check out three free seed packets per month!
Borrow
Bring your three seed packets to the Answers Desk to check them out using your library card. The seeds change seasonally so keep your eye out for new seeds
Grow
Once you've checked out your seeds, bring them home and start growing!

Collecting and Storing Seeds
The seeds you get from the Seed Library are yours to keep and don't need to be returned like other library materials. If you are interested in seed saving, check out the online Collecting & Storing Seeds guide published by the New York Botanical Garden. It's a great place to learn more.

The Cooperative Extension is an outreach arm of the University of Arizona and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and serves as a statewide network of knowledgeable faculty and staff that provides lifelong educational programs for all Arizonans, including the Master Gardeners program.
