Library Closure:

The library will be closed for observance of Independence Day on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4. The library lobby is open for HOLD pick-ups only. New holds can now be placed on items. The drive-up book drop is available 24 hours and interior book drop is available Mon.-Fri 9 a.m-5 p.m. More library services will be available soon. Tempe Public Library Book Festival

10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The Tempe Book Festival is an annual event intended to celebrate reading, writing and a love for books. The festival brings together local authors, publishers, booksellers and more.

The event will be held outdoors in the Library Plaza. The library will supply a 10-foot x 10-foot space to each exhibitor. All exhibitors are required to supply their own tables, chairs and optional canopy. 

Schedule of Presentations:

Presentations will be held on the main stage.

  • 10:30-11:30 a.m. - Children's storytimes with Elizabeth Bell, Lynn Alison Trombetta, and Vicki (We are Puppeteers) 
  • 12:30-1:30 p.m. - Author Marjorie Herrera Lewis presentation and book signing
  • 1:45-2:30 p.m. - Dave Munsey, former Fox 10 weatherman, presentation and book signing
